Terms of Service

At Desert Tropical Paver Restoration, we take great pride in the quality of our work. We are highly experienced, professional, and committed to delivering the best possible results. While issues or damages are extremely rare, restoration work involves variables outside of our control. The following terms help set clear expectations and protect both you and our team.

By approving an estimate, scheduling service, or allowing work to begin, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.

1) Results & Surface Condition (No “Perfect” Guarantee)

  1. Stain removal limits: We do not guarantee that all stains, discoloration, or residual sealer from previous treatments will be fully removed.
  2. Sealer transparency: The sealers we use are transparent and will not “paint over” remaining stains, discoloration, or old sealer. Some imperfections may remain visible after sealing.
  3. Efflorescence & future staining: Sealing does not prevent efflorescence, which is a natural and unpredictable process where salts/minerals can leach out of concrete or pavers. Sealing also does not prevent future hard water staining, rust, organic staining, or other discoloration caused by sprinklers, water chemistry, or environmental factors.

2) Chemical Runoff, Landscaping & Surrounding Areas

  1. Runoff risk: During the restoration process, chemical runoff may enter surrounding landscape areas. While rare, this can potentially damage sensitive vegetation. We take precautions, but this is a known side effect of exterior cleaning. We are not liable for plant/landscape damage resulting from normal and proper performance of the work.
  2. Debris in landscape: Dirt, sand, debris, and old sealer (if applicable) may be rinsed into adjacent landscape areas as part of the process. We do our best to clean up afterwards, but some residue may remain.

3) Pools, Water Features & Related Equipment

  1. Pool deck work: When working on a pool deck, it is likely that some dirt, sand, debris, or sealer will enter the pool. We are not responsible for damage to the pool, filter, pump, heater, cleaning system, or related equipment resulting from normal and proper performance of the work. We recommend running the pool system and cleaning/backwashing after service as needed.

4) Pressure Washing / Normal Use of Equipment

  1. We use commercial-grade pressure washing equipment with a maximum output of approximately 3,500 PSI. Most pavers, stone, and veneer materials have a PSI tolerance significantly higher than this. We are not liable for damage that results from normal and proper use of our equipment, including issues caused by pre-existing weakness, deterioration, prior installation issues, shifting/base failure, or previously compromised surfaces.

5) Windows, Doors, Water Intrusion & Hard Water Spots

  1. Hard water spots: We rinse nearby windows, doors, and walls after the cleaning process. Due to Arizona’s hard water, water spots may remain on glass surfaces. The homeowner acknowledges glass may not be perfectly spot-free after the restoration process.
  2. Water intrusion: Although we use a safe rinsing pressure on doors and windows, water may enter through gaps (especially if weather stripping, seals, stucco, or frames are compromised). We are not liable for interior water intrusion or resulting damage. Homeowners should monitor vulnerable areas and notify us of any known issues ahead of time.

6) Furniture, Personal Property & Access

  1. Workspace clearing: Unless prior arrangements are made, the homeowner is responsible for clearing furniture and items from the workspace. If requested, we are happy to assist moving items at no charge as a courtesy. However, we are not professional movers, and the homeowner assumes responsibility for any damage that may occur during moving or relocation.
  2. Furniture moving is not part of restoration: Moving furniture is a complimentary service and not part of the paver restoration process. For that reason, payment is due upon completion of restoration work, not after furniture is moved back into place.

7) Scheduling, Arrival Windows, and Rescheduling

  1. Arrival windows: Appointment times may be provided as a time window (example: “2–3pm”) rather than an exact minute arrival.
  2. Access required: If we arrive and cannot access the work area (locked gates, blocked driveway, pets not secured, no access to required water/electric if needed), the appointment may be rescheduled and a trip fee may apply.

8) Weather Delays

  1. Exterior work is weather-dependent. We may reschedule due to rain, extreme temperature, wind, or unsafe conditions. We will communicate promptly and reschedule as soon as possible.

9) Scope Changes & Hidden Conditions

  1. Pricing and scope are based on visible conditions and information provided at the time of estimating. If we discover additional work needed (unexpected staining, coating failure, paver damage, sanding needs, access issues, etc.), we will communicate any changes before proceeding.

10) Payment Terms

  1. Payment timing/method (due upon completion unless otherwise stated) will be shown on your invoice/estimate. Unpaid balances may be subject to late fees and collection efforts as allowed by law.

11) Photos & Documentation

  1. We may take before/after photos for documentation, quality control, and training. We may use non-identifying photos for marketing unless you request otherwise in writing.

12) Text Messaging (SMS) & Phone Calls (Jobber Communications)

  1. By providing your phone number and contacting us, you consent to receive calls and text messages related to estimates, scheduling, and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message/data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help.

13) Limitation of Liability

  1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to our Services will not exceed the amount paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or failures caused by prior installation, materials, or maintenance issues.
